Raku Fired unglazed clay Toggle Clasp

This is a toggle clasp with a wild grass impression. It has no glaze. The black color comes from the raku firing that permanently makes it this color due to lack of oxygen in the firing container. Clasp measures 1 3/8 inch and has high temp wire stringing loops that have been fused into the clay during the two high temp firings, about 1800 degrees. Handmade by Mary Harding Since this is a raku firing no two toggles will be exactly alike but will be similar to picture. Takes about 2 1/2 weeks to fill the order since I make all my pieces by hand and at time of the order.
